A Bright Spark
As far from a hole as we can get, here we are on the fourth floor slab of a nine story residential block of flats. The Arc Welder is fixing the metal sockets, for the railings of the balconies to the structural steel cage, ready for the concrete slab to be cast around them, and the railings themselves to be slotted in at a later date. Having seen the lift pit, and the poor quality of the fixings there, here's a shot of how it should be done. This steel cage is not complete, the plastic chairs that the steel sits on, the steel spacers that hold the top layer apart from the bottom layer, and the cage of steel bars themselves need finishing off, but then this slab is still a week away from the concrete being poured.
