I've been working on this poem for a week and a bit now, and changing only subtle things, having started off with Love as the title, I then changed my mind, after writing the poem, and decided to title it about an ex - as it sat well with poems I've written about ex's. In particular Corina, who I spent a lot of time high with - and now with the latest change, I've removed the pet names, and removed the line about being high (at the end anyway), the last verse didn't scan well, one too many lines, and removing that line made the poem scan a little better. Now, though, without the mention of being high, I'm wondering if I should remove the reference to Corina from the poem altogether! Back to square one!
