Reading the signs

It's hard to read between the lines of a sign post. It's not what they are designed to do - it's supposed to be there in black and white - or red and white for danger signs. I like Syd's sign, it does what it says on the tin, the building is going to be demolished - wear your hard hat - falling masonry can cause brain damage! The other blue demolition sign is a little more subtle - yet contains a greater danger - it warns of the removal of asbestos. This sign also conforms to standard regulations for warning signs, clear, plain, uncluttered and hidden away from prying eyes. The plaque (ok - not officially a sign!) shows the donations made by local and international dignatries for the local methodist church, the final sign I came across in the bowels of Southwark Councils Town Hall, and must hark back to the heady Labour led days of the 1980's. I know I sleep better at night knowing I'm not going to wake up glowing green.
